Questions
If a question isn’t here, the form takes it.
Yes. Vaulty Manor is an exclusive-use wedding venue. One wedding at a time, the whole estate is yours from the moment you arrive. No other event next door, no shared spaces, no other couples crossing paths with yours.
Vaulty Manor is a wedding venue with accommodation for up to 57 guests on-site, across the Manor House, the Wedding Suite, the Courtyard Rooms and Vaulty Cottage. That usually covers close family and the wedding party, so no one is rushing for a taxi after the first dance. Breakfast the next morning is included.
Yes. Free on-site parking at the venue, so guests drive straight in rather than hunting for spaces in the village. We’ll cover the practical details (blue badge access, taxi pickup zone) at the viewing.
Yes, all of it. Our own kitchen team cooks every dish from scratch on-site, plates it and serves it on the day. Locally sourced ingredients, and we’ll work around dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, allergies) as part of the menu planning.
Yes. The 17th-century barn is fully licensed for the ceremony as well as the wedding breakfast. If you’d planned outdoor vows in the walled garden and prefer to be inside on the day, we can move things over without anyone losing the moment. Most couples plan for both from the start.
Yes. We have three licensed civil ceremony spaces: a light oak Essex barn, the main 17th-century Baronial Barn, and the walled garden with the Pergola. All three are licensed for up to 200 guests, whether you’re looking at venues near Maldon or further out in Essex. Religious ceremonies usually happen at your place of worship, then the reception comes back to us.
Wedding packages typically start from £6,995 and cover exclusive use of the whole estate for the day: a barn wedding venue, manor house, and walled garden combined. That’s the in-house catering team cooking and serving your wedding breakfast and evening food, plus the heated outdoor pool and the grounds. On-site accommodation and drinks are arranged alongside the package, and we’ll walk through the exact mix at your viewing.
Vaulty Manor sits in Goldhanger, Essex, around an hour from East London by car. The nearest mainline stations are Hatfield Peverel (15 minutes’ drive) and Chelmsford (20 minutes), both running regular London Liverpool Street services. We’re a frequent choice for couples searching Essex wedding venues near London because the journey’s manageable for guests on both sides.
Yes. Whether you’re planning an intimate wedding for a small group or scaling up to 150 guests, exclusive use means the whole estate is yours for the day. Smaller weddings often feel more intentional at Vaulty because there are no shared spaces and no other couples nearby. The barn hosts small ceremonies comfortably, and the courtyard rooms suit close families who want everyone under one roof.
Enquiry
A viewing takes about an hour. You’ll walk the barn, the manor house, the grounds, and the accommodation.
Bring the questions you have not been able to ask anyone else: catering, weather plans, a guest with mobility needs, what happens if your nan can’t manage the stairs.
We’ve answered all of them before. We reply Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm.
